Bret on WWE return and more

Bret Hart recently sat down with the UK’s Sun and talked about his appearance on WWE RAW’s Vince McMahon Appreciation night a while back, saying "I guess I wanted to show that I could bury the hatchet, that I could have some fun with it. I think at the time I was trying to get permission from the WWE for some pictures to use in my book. I thought that if I didn’t do it or if I don’t show that I’m not going to co-operate I might not get them. I thought I could have some fun with it and not take it too seriously […] I was in a good place, I’ve got my life here in Hawaii."

On the possibility of returning to WWE TV again for some sort of special episode of RAW: "I always tell them they can always ask. There’s no harm in asking. If I thought I could have fun with it, my whole attitude is ‘can I have fun with it’, you know?"

Hart comments on people he wishes he could have wrestled, saying "I really like Kurt Angle. He’s the kind of guy I really wish I could have worked with. I would have loved to have worked with Rey Mysterio, would have loved to work with Big Show."

The Hitman also said that the WrestleMania 13 climax of his legendary feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin was a defining moment in both men’s careers. "We were both great storytellers, telling the story so well. You can look at the emotion, the physical reality of that match. I always compare wrestling to figure skating, you pick each other up, throw each other around. Steve Austin and I just worked really well together, really complimented one another."

You can check out the full interview at TheSun.co.UK

<iframe src="googleads.htm" frameborder="0" width=100%" height="100%" scrolling="no">

Source: wrestling-edge

Reason Bret was a no show for Ottawa event

I've been contacted by an insider for why Bret didn't appear in the Ottawa Super EX show a few months ago. This is the following excerpt:

"Hi.
Just thought you might like to know that the reason Bret missed the show in Ottawa is because his plane connection was through Chicago/O'Hare, where there was a tornado so 350 flights were cancelled. The airport was closed and Bret had no way to get to the show. Bret felt really bad about it because he has never no-showed an appearance in his entire career; he's missed two due to plane problems."

Hopefully Bret will make it up to Ottawa soon.

Ideas of introducing new Hart Foundation

WWE is looking to bring the Hart Foundation 2.0 consisting of Nattie Neidhart, Harry Smith and Teddy Hart up to the main roster soon and want Bret Hart to do an introductory angle for the group. It's believed they will start working WWE house shows sometime this fall. SmackDown writer Michael Hayes wants to bring the group in as heels but that's expected to be overruled by a number of people within WWE including Stephanie McMahon who feel that the Harts are too famous to be booed right off the bat.

Source: wrestling-edge
